The Alternative Universe is Alive in Napa

Eric Asimov is my kind of wine writer. His August 20 article in the NYTimes about a group of Napa winemakers making wines on the flip side of cabernet fruit bombs is the most recent example. Read it here.

Asimov includes a list of producers making what he calls “balanced, restrained Napa cabernets.” Until we launch our app, I will do my part to promote the revival of traditional winemaking in Napa by shamelessly copying and pasting his list below. Sorry, no links. Some of these are storied makers. Some are more obscure gems. Some are converts to the new old ways. Unlike Mr. Asimov, I haven’t tasted most of them (it must have been a lovely trip).
